Hi, I'm Darius
I'm a Professional Accountant (SA) and Tax Specialist (SA), a Registered Tax Practitioner, and the founder of DB Tax & Advisory. With 14 years in the accounting profession behind me, I started my own firm to give clients personal, reliable service from someone who takes the time to know them and their business.
My aim is simple. Keep you compliant, save you tax where the law allows, and take care of SARS so you can focus on your life and your business.

Off the clock
Serious about tax. Less so about myself.
I obtained my B.Compt degree through UNISA in 2019 and completed my articles at TDP Somerset West. In 2020 I became a full practising member of SAIPA and earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law from Stellenbosch University. From 2023 I was the branch manager of TDP Somerset West's branch in St Helena Bay, before going out on my own and founding DB Tax & Advisory, my own independent practice.
I'm married to Bianca, we have a son, Daniël, and we live in St Helena Bay, in the naturally exquisite West Coast District of the Western Cape.

Who we are
DB Tax & Advisory, owned by Darius de Beer, St Helena Bay, Western Cape. Darius de Beer is our Information Officer and can be reached at darius@dbtaxadvisory.co.za or 072 089 2644.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us when you get in touch: your name, phone number, email address and messages.
- For clients, the information we need to do your work, such as ID or passport numbers, tax reference numbers, income and expense details, banking and financial records, and company or trust details.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange consultations.
- To provide the tax and accounting services you ask for, including submissions to SARS and other authorities on your behalf.
- To meet our legal, tax and professional obligations, including those of SAIPA.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where it is needed for your work or required by law, for example with SARS, CIPC or other authorities. We use trusted service providers for email, online meetings, cloud storage and accounting or tax software, and some of them may store information outside South Africa under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your information.
How we protect and keep it
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure and confidential. We keep records only for as long as we need them for your work or as the law requires; tax records are generally kept for at least five years.

This website has no contact forms and does not use tracking cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider and Google Fonts may process your IP address to deliver the site securely.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
